Ashley Bosack first discovered her passion for horses at the age of 10, and she has never looked back. From her early years, Ashley immersed herself in a variety of equestrian disciplines, competing in local club shows, 4-H, and High School Rodeo. Her involvement spanned events such as Jumping, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Ranch Horse Versatility, and Team Penning. At 14, she was introduced to reining, and in her first year of competition, she took home the title of Rookie of the Year in the Arizona Reining Horse Association.
Ashley’s impressive accomplishments as a youth continued to build momentum. In 2010, at the age of 18, she competed in Project Cowboy, showcasing the first horse she trained, a mare named Sassy. As the youngest competitor in the event, Ashley and Sassy finished in the top 15—a significant achievement for a young rider.
In 2011, while training barrel horses and starting colts, Ashley was given an incredible opportunity to assist renowned cutting horse trainer Mike Wood on weekends. Her diverse equestrian background made it clear that Ashley had a natural aptitude for the cutting horse industry, and soon, she was offered a full-time position. Over the course of five years, she worked her way up to assistant trainer, and in 2015, she was given the opportunity to haul for a World Title. That year, Ashley achieved significant milestones, including winning the 2K Limited Rider NCHA World Championship on TachitasBrigalena and the Western Nationals 2K Limited Rider Championship on Back Woods Smoker, as well as Reserve Champion honors on Rey’s Hot Wheels.
In 2017, Ashley sought to broaden her skill set by diving into the Aged Event side of the industry. She accepted an assistant trainer position with Morgan Cromer, one of the top trainers on the West Coast. For three years, Ashley honed her skills and gained invaluable experience working with Aged Event horses. Her hard work culminated in a major victory in 2018 at the PCCHA Derby in Las Vegas, where she won the Classic Open Intermediate title on Smooth Classical. Ashley continued to make her mark in the industry, earning finalist positions in several Futurities, Derbies, and Classic Challenges. In 2019, while still under Cromer’s guidance, she trained and showed a mare named Quintrelle at the NCHA Futurity in Fort Worth. Quintrelle and her owner triumphantly went on to claim the NCHA Futurity Amateur Title, marking another major achievement in Ashley’s career.
In 2020, Ashley took the next step in her career and founded her own business, Ashley Bosack Performance Horses. After moving back to Arizona, she spent time with world-renowned colt starter Mike Kevil, expanding her knowledge and skills in colt starting. Since founding her business, Ashley has enjoyed tremendous success, amassing over $120,000 in lifetime earnings. Her training program, based on a strong foundation of colt starting, Aged Event, and weekend horses, is known for its tailored approach, creating individual plans for each horse to ensure the best possible results. Ashley’s program is also known for being amateur and non-pro friendly, welcoming riders of all levels.
